HoC Somalia Roundtable

CATR hosted a parliamentary roundtable at the House of Commons on the 6th July 2026, in partnership with Horn Report and Geopol Report. The focus was on recent developments in Somalia and the evolving roles of the United Kingdom and Türkiye in the region.

The roundtable was a great success, focusing on the the report’s findings, and explored potential avenues for UK–Türkiye cooperation in Somalia.

The report set out a convincing case of the benefits of investments; both to the people of Somalia and as attractive returns for investors. The overwhelming feedback was that further industry sessions are required to build on this foundations focusing on the specifics of industry requirements, political risk and practical investment opportunities.
